    Environments of Wonder for Infants and Toddlers

    Infants and toddlers are hard-wired for learning and exploring the world around them. As teachers, it is our responsibility to plan for learning experiences through environmental design. In this mini-series, participants will recreate a section of their environment plan and will utilize their designed learning activities to facilitate a more user-friendly environment for the infants and toddlers in their care.

    Oh the weather outside is frightful, and the kids are going stir-crazy, what to do, what to do, what to do? Winter is an inevitable part of life in Northwestern Montana. The winter months can seem long with many hours spent inside. While dressing and planning for safe and fun outdoor activities for the kids in your care can seem daunting, the benefits of outdoor winter play are numerable! This course will help providers to plan for fun and safe outdoor play in all weather. We will discuss the benefits of outdoor winter play, the best ways to dress for the weather, and develop some fun and engaging activities for connecting with nature.
